A Bout With Out

"Nothing About Us Without Us"

The video above was made by Sex Worker and Drug User Harm Reduction specialists, who are working for the health and safety of marginalized people, which in turn protects the public at large. Their message is simply stated: "Nothing About Us Without Us", meaning laws should not be enacted or enforced concerning anyone without that population's input, so their needs can best be met. Ignoring the voices of people you are purporting to help, is just forcing your agenda on them. Trusting and empowering them to make better choices is more effective than telling them what to do and how to live.
